About this Program

The Fundamentals in Management certificate requires two Core courses from the Professional MBA program: Teams, Leadership, and Decision-Making and Business Ethics and Social Responsibility. Students then choose one or both of Global Management and Managing Diversity, and choose other electives—some options include Adventure-based Leadership, Management of Change, and Negotiation Skills.

Existing Professional MBA students can complete the certificate as part of their degree (the certificate courses are either required for the Professional MBA or count as electives).

The graduate certificates programs in business are also designed to allow working professionals to develop expertise and acquire a credential beyond their undergraduate degree, without having to complete a full graduate degree program. After completing the Fundamentals of Management certificate, students can then go on to the Professional MBA program: the five courses in this certificate (16 credits) count toward the 54 credits required for the Professional MBA.
