Redhawk Wellness Network: Supporting Your Wellness on Every Level

Our Jesuit, Catholic values understand that taking care of our bodies and minds is a spiritual practice—and a lifelong journey.    

The Redhawk Wellness Network is a consortium of departments that support students’ holistic health and wellness. This includes Wellness and Health Promotion, the Student Health Center, Counseling and Psychological Services, Disability Services, Campus Ministry and University Recreation. Our teams of professionals offer a variety of support for your wellbeing, ranging from health education and university health services to recreation and therapy.

Holistic Health and Wellness Support

Wellness and Health Promotion helps you find support to maintain your overall well-being. We offer educational programming and one-on-one support for this unique time in your life. 

Home to the Health and Wellness Crew (HAWC), our trained student leaders are nationally certified peer health educators who can offer guidance and education focused on your personal well-being. Ready to provide a friendly ear or a professional resource, our team can grant private personal support as you navigate college life.

Medical Care

The Student Health Center is your primary medical care center on campus. As an accessible service, the Student Health Center is open to all current undergraduate, graduate, on-campus and off-campus students. 

Located in Bellarmine Hall, the Student Health Center is a fully operational medical clinic. We offer health care at a minimal cost for many of your health and wellness needs.  

We also serve as a resource for questions about the university immunization requirements and the student health insurance plan

Fall on campus

Mental Health Care

Seattle University’s Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) provides individual psychotherapy on campus to currently enrolled students, as well as off-campus referrals for specialized or longer-term care.  

CAPS-licensed therapists provide free and confidential clinical services.  

Faculty, staff and loved ones can call to consult with CAPS staff on how to refer a student to CAPS. Committed to personal well-being and mental health, CAPS can help you identify the best next steps in your mental health care.

TimelyCare: Telehealth for SU Students

Seattle University offers access to 24/7 medical and mental health virtual care for enrolled students from anywhere in the United States through our partner, TimelyCare. This service provides a great supplement to our existing on-campus health and wellness services with no out-of-pocket cost or insurance requirement. Play And Movement

University Recreation (UREC) is a center for community and connection that empowers all Seattle University students to live happier and healthier lives. 

Enjoy a variety of activities all centered on fun, fitness and personal development; many allow participation at no additional cost. Explore the Cascades, try a cardio dance class, grab a few friends for an outdoor volleyball league or go for a swim with help from UREC.  

With a comprehensive facility that houses both basketball and racquet courts, fitness studios, pools and fitness equipment, we create a safe and welcoming space for you to play and move your body in ways that feel good to you.
